Our '14 Syrah was 10% whole cluster and 90% destemmed whole
berry spontaneous fermentation. After a ten day fermentation with twice daily
punchdowns, the grapes were pressed off the skins and the juice was barreled
into five neutral French Oak barrels where it aged
for 13 months prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Aromas of gamey meat,
blueberries, and blackberries highlighted by bright acidity and rounded
tannins. This Syrah is great now and cellar-worthy for many years to come.
